PhD positions – Joint Doctorate Programme
University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City and Erasmus University Rotterdam
The Joint Doctorate Programme (JDP) between University of Economics Ho Chi Minh city (UEH) and Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR) is looking for PhD candidates in Development Economics to commence in December 2019. These PhD positions are free tuition fee and full time of 4 years. The PhD candidates are affiliated with the Vietnam – The Netherlands Programme (UEH) and the Development Economics group (International Institute of Social Sciences – ISS, EUR). The candidate will carry out a thesis in the research areas as listed below. Roughly 15% to 20% of their time will be devoted to teaching and academic support activities. Thesis defence will be organized at ISS, following EUR’s protocol. Joint doctorate degrees will be signed separately by EUR Rector Magnificus and UEH president.

Admission requirements
Academic background: MA/MSc degree, minimally at B+ level; Good proposal & research topic in line with research focus of the JDP
English proficiency: Good command of English (comparable to IELTS 7.0, TOEFL PBT 600, TOEFL CBT 250, TOEFL iBT 100 or Master’s degree abroad with thesis written in English)
