Introduction

General Objectives

This program equips the students with theoretical and specialized knowledge in the field of macroeconomics, as well as behavior analysis methods of consumers, enterprises and public organizations.

The program provides the enterprises, financial organizations, public groups and research agencies with economic database analysis foundations. Overall, anyone who is seeking to understand data and event analysis methods to answer practical questions realizes that economics is a fascinating subject.

Students are trained with analytical skills to apply theoretical knowledge in practical situations. Applied economics helps students to have more interesting career opportunities after graduating as well as to develop their potential.

After graduating, students can work in the fields of business, finance, banking, governmental management, teaching, and other fields. Students can continue to study domestic or international postgraduate programs.

Detail Objectives

  • PO1: Having basic knowledge of law and national politics as well as recent socioeconomic issues
  • PO2: Gaining analytical skills; research and self-determination skills in economic discipline
  • PO3: Being able to analyze socioeconomic policies; markets; strategies; financial indicators; investment and projects
  • PO4: Being competent at information technology and data science to collect, and work with relevant data
  • PO5: Keeping up with working independently as well as teamwork; having critical thinking; communication skills; presentation and problem-solving skills

Knowledge

  • Being able to apply knowledge of economics and other related disciplines such as financial accounting, business management and law in business and economics
  • Knowing deeply about microeconomics, macroeconomics as well as various economic brands
  • Understanding political and social reasoning
  • Applying knowledge of information technology, statistics; mathematics for economics
  • Data analyst and research methodology in business and economics
  • Applying knowledge of making and managing projects; strategies; plans to complete tasks in public and private sectors
